  • Stand Against the Blunt Amendment

Republican senators are pushing the Blunt Amendment, an all-out assault on President Obama’s historic health care reform. The amendment would let any employer deny coverage of any health care based on “moral convictions.”

This amendment goes even beyond trying to prevent women from using birth control. If your employer decided that your expensive cancer treatment violated their “moral convictions,” they wouldn’t have to cover it. Period.

Add your name, and take a stand for comprehensive health care and against the Blunt Amendment.

Stop the Republican War on Women!

Whether it’s denying half the population necessary health care, holding a House panel on contraception with no women on it, or suggesting that holding an aspirin between the knees is all the birth control women need, it’s clear that Republicans are shockingly out of touch on issues of fairness and equality.

Sign our petition, and call them out. Demand that Republicans drop their war on women. Gender discrimination is wrong. It’s time Republicans stopped trying to write it into law.

Demand that Republicans End the Planned Parenthood Witch Hunt

Planned Parenthood almost lost a major source of funding for breast cancer screenings thanks to a politically motivated witch hunt launched by radical anti-choice Republicans. This “investigation” is driven by right-wing ideology, and it must end before more damage is done.

Sign your name, and demand that Rep. Cliff Stearns and his cadre of radical anti-choice Republicans drop the partisan investigation into Planned Parenthood.

  • Support President Obama’s 2012 Agenda

On January 24th, President Obama will use his State of the Union address to propose a bold vision for America’s future. But Republicans are already vowing to fight him every step of the way. They’re more concerned with defeating Democrats than creating jobs and helping the middle class.

Sign our petition and give our Democratic Senators the support they need to pass President Obama’s vision for 2012. Now more than ever, Democrats need to know you’ve got their back.

    Reverse 'Citizens United'

The Citizens United ruling has unleashed a flood of shadowy, corporate money into our political process, led by Karl Rove’s American Crossroads. It’s an attack on our democracy. In a system where one person, one vote is supposed to be the rule, outside groups like Crossroads are having an outsized influence.

But a group of Democratic senators has introduced a constitutional amendment that would essentially repeal the effects of this terrible ruling.

Become a Citizen Cosponsor of the Reverse Citizens United Amendment. We need to deliver 100,000 signatures before the second anniversary of this travesty of justice on January 21. Let’s commemorate the day by wiping this terrible ruling off the books.

    They Must Be Stopped

Current GOP frontrunners Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum all hold extreme views. Whether it's Paul's belief that Medicare is unconstitutional, Romney's career backing of policies shipping jobs overseas and benefiting the 1%, or Santorum's desire to reinstate "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and end a woman's right to choose, the Republican Presidential candidates have views that are simply dangerous.

Stand with the DSCC against these extreme candidates. If one of them were elected, America would never be the same.

  • Who's the Most Extreme?

The Republican presidential primary is now under way, and it’s clear that no matter who wins, America would lose. From Mitt Romney to Rick Santorum to Ron Paul to Newt Gingrich, these candidates are radical, divisive and beholden to the Tea Party. The only question is: Who’s the most extreme?

Weigh in, and let us know who you think is the most extreme GOP presidential candidate. We want your opinion!

    Stand With Democratic Women Candidates

2012 will be a historic election for Democratic women. A record-breaking eleven are expected to be the Democratic nominees for the Senate. Our ability to hold the Senate – and stop the GOP’s war on women – depends on their success. After all, if Republicans gain just 4 seats, they’ll take control of the Senate and turn back the clock on women’s progress.

Our candidates need to know that we’ve got their backs. Sign our petition, and stand with our women candidates. We’re counting on these women to hold the Senate. Let them know they can count on you.

    Stop Subsidies for Big Oil

Big Oil companies have once again reported billions in profits while Republican lawmakers continue to demand $21 billion in tax breaks. Meanwhile, Big Oil contributes millions to Republican Senate candidates.

They stand up for each others’ interests while the rest of us suffer at the pump. Tell Republicans: Stop sending our money to oil corporations in the form of huge tax breaks.

  • 2012 Election Protection Project

A coordinated Republican effort to suppress the Democratic vote and skew the outcome of the 2012 elections is under way. More than 5 million voters could be affected. No surprise, the legislation heavily targets young, poor and African American voters – who disproportionately support Democrats.

Join our 2012 Election Protection Project and stand against these undemocratic tactics. Republicans need to know that we’re onto them, we’re fighting back, and we WILL NOT allow them to manipulate their way to victory in the 2012 elections.

    It’s Not Class Warfare

Republicans are trying their hardest to stop President Obama’s proposal to reduce the federal deficit. By screaming “class warfare” when the president asked multi-millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share of taxes, Republicans have shown how much more they care about their wealthy backers than about middle-class Americans.

This isn’t “class warfare” -- it’s math. We can reduce our deficit by $3 trillion and protect crucial programs like Social Security and Medicare if Republicans stop playing political games and giving the wealthy special treatment.

Senate Democrats are fighting for a stronger economy, but we need your help.

Stand With President Obama and Support the "Buffett Rule"

President Obama has put forward a bold plan to help reduce the deficit. One piece: the “Buffett Rule,” which will ensure that secretaries don’t pay a larger percentage of their income than the CEOs they work for. It’s wrong to balance the budget on the backs of those Americans who can least afford it, and President Obama’s plan makes that clear.

Stand with President Obama as he stands up for the middle class. Sign the petition today!

  • Stand Up For the Middle Class

Republicans – backed by Tea Party extremists and corporate billionaires – are attacking America’s workers nationwide, even as CEO pay and corporate profits soar. From stripping collective bargaining rights to forcing deep pay cuts, it’s clear that Republicans are not looking out for the interests of workers.

Democrats remain committed to America’s middle class and work hard every day to make sure everyone – not just the wealthy and corporations – can get ahead in America.

Fight back against Republicans’ efforts to destroy the middle class. Sign up and stand with the DSCC!

Stand with the DSCC Against Tea Party Extremism

Since taking the House last year, they’ve held our economy hostage, demanded more tax cuts for the rich, and taken the country to the brink of default. All the while, they’ve questioned President Obama’s patriotism and cheered for cuts to Medicare and Social Security.

These policies aren’t just extreme – they’re downright dangerous. And if Tea Partiers have their way in next year’s elections, this will only be the beginning. Stand with Senate Democrats and tell the Tea Party their views are too radical for America. With so much at stake, your support is absolutely vital.

    Light bulbs or the economy?

Instead of working to get the economy out of the ditch they drove it into, Republicans have chosen to focus on light bulbs. That’s right – while Democrats are working every day to get our economy back on track, Republicans are wasting their time trying to repeal light bulb efficiency standards that would save the country billions of dollars per year.

We need you to stand with Senate Democrats, who are focusing on America's most pressing challenges, like boosting the economy.

  • Defend Medicare from Republican Attacks

Republicans keep saying they want to reduce the deficit. But their real plan is to give tax breaks to billionaires paid for by our nation’s seniors. How? By ending Medicare. The GOP budget would destroy this invaluable social safety net. Tell the Republican leadership that they’re simply wrong.

Tell Republicans to Stop Subsidizing Big Oil

Stand Up for NPR and PBS

Republican extremists in Congress have spent months refusing to address key issues facing our country, and instead they’ve focused on the demands of the Tea Party.

Now they’re going too far: They’re trying to defund Sesame Street, Curious George, and public news coverage. While these cuts – a full funding repeal to both National Public Radio and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting – won’t have an impact on our budget deficits, they will hurt quality programming and cripple a crucial public service. Add your name and stand with Senate Democrats against Republican extremism. Stand up for NPR and PBS before it’s too late.

  • Stand With Democrats to Protect Health Care Reform

House Republicans – egged on by corporate-backed Tea Party members – have made health care reform repeal their top priority. Despite the fact that many of these health care reforms are extremely popular with the public and will bring down costs over time, Republicans don’t care.

We all fought too hard to allow this to happen. Sign our petition. Add your voice to the thousands of grassroots Democrats who are standing together to stop the Republican repeal of health care reform.

    Support Democratic Women

Republican policies are targeting women. GOP lawmakers are pushing legislation that would roll back a woman’s right to privacy, gut programs that aid working families, and unravel America’s social safety net. And to pass this radical agenda, they’re targeting key female Democratic senators – women who consistently put the interests of American working families first.

Add your name, and join with thousands of others who are calling out the GOP’s anti-woman and anti-family agenda. We won’t stand for Republican policies and proposals that attack women or fail to defend their rights.

  • Stand With Democrats to Protect Women's Rights

For 25 years, hospitals have been required to provide the emergency care necessary to save a patient’s life. Now, under new legislation in the House of Representatives, hospitals could put the lives and health of women at risk. Their so-called “Protect Life Act” would allow hospitals to deny women emergency care to end life-threatening pregnancies.

Add your name to speak out against this extreme legislation. Tell the GOP: Not on our watch.
